LUCA TURIN À PROPOS D’ANOMALIA PARIS

LUCA TURIN ABOUT ANOMALIA PARIS

"They currently have ten, all of them of high quality and well put together. Three, Narcotic Bohemic, Shaman and Cérémonie, stand out in my view...."

After a brief, deceptively anodyne sweet note up front, within seconds NB develops an iris accord unlike most others, metallic and sinister to an extent I do not remember smelling before, even in the original Iris Silver Mist (Serge Lutens, 1994)

Shaman hits the spot perfectly: a luminous leather with a quiet, distant floral note and a faintly vanillic Kraft-paper character. It is utterly beautiful. I would love to know who composed this marvel.

A beautiful, dark accord of fruit (tinned pineapple) and patchouli against an in-cense-leather background. Cérémonie achieves an effect like that raspy, sprayed-on, purple flock on glass Christmas tree ornaments, first explored in perfumery by Loulou (Cacharel, 1987).
